Information Gathering and Security
The State Services Commission has issued Information Gathering Model Standards for agencies that have law enforcement or regulatory compliance responsibilities. The Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation (the Guardians) does not have any law enforcement or regulatory compliance responsibilities, and does not gather any information for these purposes.
The Guardians collects information in order to conduct our business. This may include personal information (for instance identity details as part of due diligence checks and employment applications). Also, our premises have CCTV cameras in operation. These cameras are used for security purposes to protect the health and safety of employees and visitors and to manage and protect our property. The personal information we hold is used only for the purpose for which it is collected or as otherwise advised or consented to. The security of our information and premises is managed in accordance with our relevant policies and applicable laws.
Note where we have serious concerns regarding potential threats to the physical security of staff, or the security of information or places, we will engage with the appropriate authority.
