The Cloud Platform team enables the Guardians and its allocated mandates by providing the key technology foundations. It is responsible for delivering technology solutions, managing and maintaining all technology infrastructure, some enterprise applications, connectivity (networking, firewalls, private links etc.) and executing cyber-security controls and improvements. 

The Cloud Platform team is responsible for all cloud technology infrastructure and remote solutions at Guardians, the majority of which are delivered via the Microsoft cloud. It is also responsible for delivering and monitoring key cyber security controls and supporting the integration of third-party systems.

About the position

As the leader of the Cloud Platform team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering the key results aligned to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable technology objectives. You’ll be accountable for the delivery and maintenance of future-fit, scalable cloud services—primarily within the Microsoft ecosystem. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, managing a high-performing team and key third-party partners to deliver solutions that ensure Guardians thrive today and adapt for tomorrows robust technology foundations, cyber security controls, and seamless connectivity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a skilled technical team to support business needs
  • Managing cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, and enterprise applications
  • Overseeing cyber security controls and ensuring secure operations
  • Driving innovation and maturity in cloud technologies
  • Collaborating across IT and business units to deliver strategic outcomes
  • Managing vendor relationships and operational budgets effectively
About you

We’re looking for a seasoned technology leader with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, cyber security, and IT operations—ideally within the Azure ecosystem. 
 
You’ll bring a collaborative, people-first approach to leadership, with a proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams. Your technical expertise will span cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), infrastructure, networking, and security, and you’ll be confident navigating complex environments and vendor relationships. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement will be key to your success in this role.
